Congratulations to our September 2025 grantees!

The Reiter Family Foundation would like to congratulate the following eight non-profits who have been selected as our 2025 September Cycle Grantees:

New Grantees:

  • Open Door Ministries: fights poverty in Denver through outreach, housing, children and youth services, and leadership development.

  • Saints Projects Trust: funding will help build additional classrooms and improve security at Ebenezer School in Techimentia, Ghana—creating a safer, more effective learning environment for students and advancing the school’s powerful work of transforming lives through education.

  • Greenhouse Scholars: empowers low-income Colorado students to graduate college, launch strong careers, and lead in their communities. With a 98% graduation rate, the program transforms lives and communities through education, mentorship, and service.

  • Earth Force: helps Colorado educators develop project-based education that empowers students to tackle real-world climate challenges in their communities.

  • Camping to Connect: led by adult men of color, Camping to Connect provides culturally responsive, nature-based mentorship that helps young men of color build resilience, leadership, and emotional well-being.

  • Young Voices of Colorado: provides transformative music education that fosters academic success, confidence, and empathy—helping children grow into capable, compassionate leaders.

  • Arapahoe Santa Claus Shop: provides families in Littleton, Sheridan, and Englewood facing financial hardship the opportunity to “shop” for free gifts for their children age ten and under. All funds will purchase toys, books, and games to ensure more than 1,000 local children experience the joy of receiving presents on Christmas morning.

Repeat Funding:

  • Education Through Music: expands equitable access to music education for 3,300 Colorado students. Additional funding will enhance teacher support, professional learning, curriculum development, and classroom resources.

  • Inland Ocean Coalition: building on its first-year success, IOC will expand and refine FestivalBlitz in 2026 with a more streamlined, cost-effective model. The program will deepen partnerships with festivals through a Plastic-Free Festival Transition Plan, train volunteers to promote sustainable practices, and conduct vendor audits using the TrashBlitz app to reduce single-use plastics.

  • Elevated Denver: working to co-create human-centered, systemic solutions that prevent homelessness and support lasting housing stability. The Community Resource Connection Hub is a pilot project offering free, one-on-one support to help neighbors find and connect with the resources they need.

  • Wartburg College Knight’s Experience Fund: supports Wartburg College students participating in the special experiences that Wartburg has to offer, including May Term travel courses, music tours, internships, research, student teaching and field placements, service trips, and study abroad opportunities.
